Google Business. Site websites are being shut down, and by March 2024, websites that were originally created using the facility will no longer be operational. When customers click on your website, they will be redirected to your Business Profile until June 10, 2024.
Earlier simple websites could be created using a Google feature that picked up information from your Business Profile. In the near future, sites created with this capability will be removed. Transitions will take place where customers visiting any business.site will be able to access a company’s Google Profile from March 1, 2024. Similar business details may be provided on your profile, including social media links, so that potential clients can find out more. The feature, however, will still be available in the form of redirects until June 10, 2024, after which it will be displayed as inaccessible.
Nevertheless, you can update your business profile to feature another link to your website when you use a site builder like Shopify or WordPress.

Come March, domain names with business.site and negocio.site will no longer be available in the ‘website’ field of your business profile. It is best to use a new URL to update your Google Business Profile.
Your business profile, however, will not be impacted, and customers will be able to visualise your data on the Google Business Profile whenever they visit your site.
It is best to create a Wix or Squarespace website if you currently have a business.site. Also, use a relevant tool to examine the links on your site and see if they are pointing to the old Google Business Site. Then, go ahead and update them.
